  1. not if it’s unintentional roadkill – in that situation i don’t see it as unacceptable. i don’t understand why people would want to eat meat in the first place though – when there are so many better foods available without killing

  2. yes. meat is murder.
there is nothing wrong with murder, according to natural law..
big fish eats small fish, big alpha male gets all the females..
man with gun exploits man with knife…
it’s only a more civlised system of exploitation, based on economic rules and big corporate interests that has given us the illusion that we rejected murder..
we only found a more effective way to obtain the same result, with a victim still alive, capable to work for a pity, and raised with prospects of happiness, but shackled by religions and laws.
in many developing countries, wildlife is facing extinction, constantly fighting the ever expanding human population, end losing precious terrain to agricolture.
our estensive vaccination programs and far reaching humanitarian efforts have tilted the balance towards an unsunstainable position.
    man has become a pest.
I think that is a crime, the disappearing of precious species in the wild,
not the controlled slaughter of battery chicken.
overfishing is certainly a big problem, but eating horse meat now sounds much more unethical…
I have eaten dog meat, didn’t like it, won’t try it again…
but when I had it, I wasn’t thinking of a cute puppy with sweet eyes kept in a steel wire cage, i was just following my nature:
man has carnivore dentition in his mouth, and a caecum in the digestive system..
these two attributes make him an omnivore.
Darwin theorised that the appendix ancient function was to digest leaves, before degrading during evolution..
But he made a point to sample on his plate every new animal he was meeting in his voyages…
man has been built to eat meat, and to be a murderer.
of course many people will not agree, and will try to have a meat free diet, based on moral principles, personal beliefs, or merely appetite…
modern times allow such a lifestile, because of the wide choice availabe, plus various substitutes or supplements..
nothing wrong with it.. your life, your rules..
you can even try to persuade me to change my mind, or you can take me out for dinner in a meat free environment..
once in India i was forced to be vegetarian for 80% of my time there, given the local prevalence of vegetarian cuisine..
I survived: I am an omnivore..
    and a murderer…
I have more chances of survival…
