Chili sin Carne

Dette er rustik, hjertelig og lækre og meget sund. If you dont eat soya just omit and use less liquid, there is protein in the kidney beans. Serve with tacos or brown rice.

Chili sin Carne

Ingredienser tjener 4

et stort løg, diced

en stor gulerod, diced

en pind af selleri, diced

4 fed hvidløg, hakket

en teskefuld tørret oregano

2 teskefulde tørrede knuste chilier (hvis du kan lide det spicy!)

vegetable oil

salt og peber

2 spsk mørk sojasauce

a teaspoon of Marmite (valgfri)

2 spiseskefulde tomatpuré

60g (2 ounce) kølet soja hakkekød

a tablespoon of smoked paprika

en 400g (14 ounce) kan af tomater

en 400g (14 ounce) kan af kidneybønner (nettovægt 240g eller 8 og 1/2 ounce)

Metode

Sweat the onion, carrot, celery and garlic on a low heat in a lidded saucepan with some vegetable oil and salt stirring occasionally

Sweat for 10 til 15 minutes or until the onion has softened

Tilføje 2 teskefulde (eller mindre, this is quite spicy!) af tørrede chilier, and the oregano

Tilføj 100ml (3 og en 1/2 fluid ounces) af vand, bring to the boil and simmer with the lid on for 10 minutter

Add the tin of tomatoes, soy sauce, tomato puree and paprika, stir and bring back to the boil. Stir in the soya mince and drained kidney beans

Simmer until the carrot have softened, stirring occasionally and adding more water if necessary
