Esto es rústico, abundante y delicioso y muy saludable. If you dont eat soya just omit and use less liquid, there is protein in the kidney beans. Serve with tacos or brown rice.
Ingredientes sirve 4
una cebolla grande, picado
una zanahoria grande, picado
una vara de apio, picado
4 dientes de ajo, picado
una cucharadita de orégano seco
2 cucharaditas de chiles secos triturados (si te gusta lo picante!)
aceite vegetal
sal y pimienta
2 cucharadas de salsa de soja oscura
a teaspoon of Marmite (opcional)
2 cucharadas de puré de tomate
60g (2 oz) de soja refrigerados picada
a tablespoon of smoked paprika
a 400 g (14 oz) lata de tomates
a 400 g (14 oz) lata de frijoles (240g peso neto o 8 y 1/2 oz)
Método
Sudor la cebolla, carrot, celery and garlic on a low heat in a lidded saucepan with some vegetable oil and salt stirring occasionally
Sweat for 10 a 15 minutes or until the onion has softened
Añadir 2 cucharaditas (o menos, this is quite spicy!) de chiles secos, and the oregano
Añadir 100 ml (3 y un 1/2 onzas líquidas) de agua, bring to the boil and simmer with the lid on for 10 acta
Add the tin of tomatoes, soy sauce, tomato puree and paprika, stir and bring back to the boil. Stir in the soya mince and drained kidney beans
Simmer until the carrot have softened, stirring occasionally and adding more water if necessary
Cooked this for my hubbie and he didnt even comment on there being no meat!
